I’m super excited to introduce Kristine of Kristine Lynn Photography as my newest contributor! Kristine is not only a very talented photographer, she is also my twin sister. I’ve learned a TON about my camera and editing pictures from her, so I’m thrilled that she agreed to join us at LLR for 2013! Please extend a warm welcome…
Hi! I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a contributor to Live Laugh Rowe’s blog this year! I think you’ll find some GREAT tips, reads, tutorials and MUCH more. In starting the New Year, I thought that I would start with a free printable calendar that contains TWELVE captures: one image per month. I know what you’re thinking… a printable calendar with capture ideas? You got it! There is a capture theme for each month, therein the Photo a Month Challenge!
Download Photo a Month Challenge {here} | Size: 5×7
Now…you can approach it as simply as taking it with your cell phone or you can take it with your camera. HOWEVER, I want to challenge you to challenge yourself. This isn’t a photo a day, so only having to capture one picture each month gives you a lot of creative leeway. I’m going to come up with something so that you can take those 12 images and use them in 2014. If your a blogger, feel free to post your pictures or share this challenge with your readers, but most importantly be sure to save all of your monthly images somewhere so you can use them for a project in 2014 . SMILES! I’ve listed the 12 captures below.
1. Motion
2. Hands
3. Transportation
4. Flower(s)
5. Written Words
6. Nature
7. Reflection/Shadow
8. Light
9. Black & White
10. Self portrait
11. Fall Foliage
12. Christmas Ornament
Be as creative as you’d like with the theme. There is no wrong or right! Now all you need to do is download the printable and put it somewhere visible so you don’t forget about it. Let’s have some fun with this photo a month challenge!!! Until next time… happy shooting!

I want to play!! Love the once a month vs. week
Is there a particular day of the month to plan for this or is it what ever works best for me?
Hi Karen! The beautiful thing about it being once a month is that you can capture your imagine anytime within the month.
Okay, Kelly!! So your choice for,”Miss Photography Contributor” Totally makes sense
I am so thrilled to meet you, Kristine and I am LOVING this photo a month challenge you have given us. Is tis going to be Linky party each month?
Angelina
Nice to meet you too Angelina! No…we won’t be doing a Linky party each month; however at some point we may do something like that to see how the readers are doing.
that was supposed to be “IT” not “TIS”
I love this idea! Its great to meet you Kristine! the printable is great!
Nice to meet you too Melissa!!! Glad your going to join us!!!
~Kristine
Always fun to see how creative you can be with a prompt. Awesome! So happy to see this new addition to LLR.
Are you having a link party for this, or is this just a personal challenge? It sounds very interesting either way, I was just wondering.
This sounds perfect! I’ve never been able to stick to the photo a day challenges…life’s just too busy for that, but a photo a month should be completely do-able. And I’ve really been wanting to learn how to better use our DSLR. Thanks for sharing!
Oh I have always wanted to participate in a photo challenge, but knew I couldn’t keep up with a daily one or even a weekly! I’m pretty sure I can do a monthly! Thanks for this and for the printable! Glad you are joining Kelly here!
I love this idea! I tried to do a photo-a-day challenge this month, and I didn’t even make it past the first day. I should be able to handle once a month though
I love the prompts too.
how cool that you & your sister are working together!!! so fun, Kelly!
Now this is something I can handle….I wanted to try the photo a day but I know (knew) I would never be able to do it. thanks for the photo a month challenge. I love it!
Nice to meet you Kristine!
Nice to meet you too Lindy! Thanks for joining us.
