I {love} twine! Sure, it’s a little messy and sometimes a little stinky, but I absolutely adore the flair it can add to some projects. I use it a lot for projects in my shop, so keeping it organized is helpful too! So, let’s talk about some twine holders. Have you ever searched the term twine holders or twine storage? WOW! Lots of options and creative ones at that.
As most of you know I have a love for all things vintage/rustic. So, these here (pictured below) make my heart go pitter patter. However, I wasn’t prepared to spend $30-50 dollars for a storage container either. I also had to consider that my craft room is light and bright, with the shabby chic feel. I thought to myself that I’ll just have to keep my eyes peeled for something that would be a good fit.

Well, one day I was in one of my favorite places in all the world {giggle} — Target! They had these air tight containers on clearance for all of maybe four or five dollars (I can’t remember the exact number… shame one me)! I said to my sister, I could just drill a hole in the top of this and use it to store my twine! Eeeeek! I’m pretty sure at that very moment she rolled her eyes. I tend to see the possibilities in just about anything. HA! She wants to buy something and I say, “let’s make it!” I’m chuckling as I write this. Sisters {smile}.
Anywho, that’s exactly what I did. I bought the container and had the hubs drill one single hole in that beautiful bamboo lid for me! One super easy step!

…AND…
It matches my craft room perfectly! I can even keep a back up roll of twine in there! It’s perfectly cute, functional and inexpensive!
What do you think?
How do you store your twine?
Be creative and stay organized….
I’ll be partying {here and here}.

My twine sits out in the open taunting me! I am so going to use your container for inspiration and make one of my own cuz, well, you are a genius!!
I love this twine holder! Pinning this!

So cool! I love that you got the container on clearance!
What a great idea! I gotta go find myself a container like this! Here from TT&J
what a FAB idea!
What a GREAT idea, I love it!
Love it! Looks like it fits your craft room decor better than those harsh looking cast iron holders (although, they are purtty). AND it was only $5! Squeal!!! Love it!
So smart! I host a DIY link party every Monday and would love for you to join!
Love it! Simple & classic looking. I’m adding a little container like this to my shopping list
This is really, really good. I need to find a container and make this. Right now my office/homeschool classroom is a bit of a disaster (we are in transition with some projects) and I have all of our supplies grouped in glass containers, but the twine just seems out of place. Thanks so much for sharing and I pinned your project.
Have a great day!
Angela
I love this! I am always doing that in a store! We are such redoer’s!
I love it. Since I started blogging and crafting/creating more again I’ve started to see the possibilities in things again…so thank you for sharing this and keeping me thinking outside of the box!
Great twine holder! But what to do with my zillion rolls of curling ribbon?!?!
Awesome and so clever! Our string and twine is such a tangled mess. Thanks for sharing! I’m including a link back in this week’s DIY highlights!
